Rotary has been at the heart of Hope and Homes for Children since the charity’s foundation in 1994. As one of our key partners, Rotary has enabled us to grow and become a global expert in the field of deinstitutionalisation - supporting children into loving families and preventing family breakdown. This partnership will continue to be vital as we work towards our vision of a world in which children no longer suffer institutional care.

The aim of the Unlocking Futures project is to provide life skills training for young adults leaving institutions or small family homes in Romania so they are able to live independently. With support from Rotary, by the end of 2018 we will have supported nearly 500 young adults through the transition to independent living.

By supporting this project, Rotary will help us transform the lives of young people across Romania, unlocking their potential and breaking the cycle of institutional care.

We are on the cusp of a new era, which will see all institutions in Romania closed. The support from Rotary for Unlocking Futures will help us drive this change.
