Care systems must be built to support Families. Not Institutions.
Over the last 30 years, we’ve been practising every facet of deinstitutionalisation in a wide variety of global contexts. Here we present our recommendations and roadmap for care reform based on that experience, for global, regional and national decision makers and policy makers, to help build political will, define strategies and policies, and target funding that transforms care systems. This publication distils our experience and understanding of the links between care reform and strategic development goals around health and wellbeing, climate change, inequality and inclusion.
