Overall, Kenya has made excellent strides toward establishing a competent legal framework for child protection system reform. However, without significant technical assistance and long-term financial investments to date, the care reform agenda may lose momentum. The EU can play a key role in supporting this process.
With this paper, we call on the European Commission Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO), the European External Action Service and the EU delegation to ensure that the NDICI supports comprehensive childcare system reform in Kenya.
