The St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation (SJPCF)

Founded in 1992, The St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation (SJPCF) is the philanthropic arm of the St. James’s Place Wealth Management Group a leading UK wealth management company.  The SJPCF is committed to making a positive and lasting difference to people’s lives by awarding grants to charities in the UK and abroad.  During this time, they have distributed over £70 million to thousands of good causes.

SJPCF’s almost 20 year commitment to Hope and Homes for Children

Hope and Homes for Children’s vision is of a world in which children no longer suffer institutional care. This is a bold and ambitious goal, and one that we cannot achieve on our own. That is why HHC’s partnership with SJPCF has been critical to our success. The partnership between HHC and SJPCF first started in 2000 and has continued to develop to this day. SJPCF’s almost 20 year commitment has been a critical factor in helping HHC become recognised as a global leader at the forefront of the movement to eliminate orphanages.

SJPCF has supported the charity’s work in 10 countries and through grants and employee fundraising, providing a total of £8.3 million of support.  The partnership with SJPCF has enabled HHC to directly support almost 10,000 children and deliver training and skills based learning to thousands of child care professionals.

Working in true partnership with the passionate team at HHC has been truly humbling and has helped engage thousands of the SJP community, raising awareness, funds and providing hope for vulnerable children around the world.’ David Bellamy, Chair of the SJPCF.

SJPCF’s support has been directed towards HHC projects across Europe and Africa where SJPCF backing has been used to pioneer new family services, create examples of best practice, or help build a case for further government intervention. SJPCF has played a crucial role in advancing child care reform.

“St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation has helped to save and turn around the lives of tens of thousands of children”
