Transforming the lives of children in Romania

During 2010 we are working to close seven institutions in Romania, transforming the lives of almost 600 children. This work is progressing extremely well and we have already completed the closure of three institutions – Barbu Delavrancea, Ocna Sugatag and Comanesti.

Thanks to your support the lives of 307 children and young people have now been transformed:

• 89 children have been reunited with their birth or extended families
• 151 children have been placed in Small Family Homes
• 64 young adults are now living independently with our support
• 3 children have been placed with foster families
