| A warm welcome to our new trustee Bridget Cluley
Hope and Homes for Children is pleased to announce the appointment of Bridget Cluely as our new trustee. Bridget has worked in fundraising for over 27 years, in which time she has gathered a wealth of experience in every aspect of fundraising – from managing staff, working with volunteers and raising funds from donors.
Bridget began her fundraising career 16 years ago as Community Fundraising Manager for the NSPCC. She started working in her local area and finally achieved the role of Head of Community Fundraising, where she managed staff and volunteers across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Bridget has been fundamental in the creation of many NSPCC strategies within the Community Fundraising Department, and was directly responsible for many of their initiatives that are still in place today. Bridget joins our board of trustees after stepping down as trustee on behalf of the NSPCC, where to date she has been the only member of staff asked to join their board.
For the last 11 years Bridget has worked as a Consultant and her clients included Marie Curie Cancer Care, British Heart Foundation, Elizabeth Finn Care, RNIB, and Guide Dogs for the Blind. She has helped to develop their strategies for volunteers as well as training staff who work closely with volunteers.
Bridget has also been a regular speaker at the Institute of Fundraising Annual Convention and is a Fellow of the Institute of Fundraising. We look forward to working with Bridget in the future.
