In this issue we focus on the changing attitudes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where in June this year we closed the first institution. By working in partnership with the Bosnian Government our ultimate goal is to close the country’s remaining 13 children’s institutions by 2017.

We also look at how our projects in Sierra Leone are helping vulnerable young mothers to become active members of their communities. By teaching them key skills and providing vocational training programmes we allow these once isolated mothers to take control of their futures.
