Voluntary positions

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to commit your free time. By working with Hope and Homes for Children you will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable and orphaned children worldwide.

Our volunteers assist us in a variety of ways, from ensuring the smooth running of our reception, to getting involved in our fundraising initiatives.

“Volunteering for Hope and Homes for Children has been a fantastic experience. I have gained some invaluable insight into how a charity operates, and now feel that I can boast to future employers – in any sector – about the wealth of skills I have gained through working here. Throughout the experience I have been made to feel really involved, with the staff and with the cause. My time spent at Hope and Homes for Children has been both enjoyable and inspirational.”
Kate Ryan, Major Partnership Volunteer

Please be aware we can only offer voluntary positions at our Head Office at East Clyffe, near Salisbury, and not at any of our country programmes.

Community Fundraising Volunteers

How to apply

Community Fundraising Volunteer

Hope and Homes for Children is renowned for its fundraising efforts. We are looking for two enthusiastic volunteers to help support our Community Fundraising Team with a range of tasks.

Firstly, we would like help with administration, undertaking activities such as ‘thank you’ letters to our supporters, researching potential fundraising opportunities and helping to update our database.

Secondly, we need someone to help support our Unleash Your Potential initiative. This involves schools, colleges and youth groups taking part in fundraising activities to help support the children we work with. We are currently working with schools by motivating and encouraging their commitment to Hope and Homes for Children. This role would either suit someone with an existing marketing background or interested in marketing. You must have an excellent telephone manner and computer experience.

Training will be provided to compliment your existing computer skills, which ideally should include using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Please call David James on 01722 790111 or email David.James@hopeandhomes.org for further details. For more information about volunteering for the Community Fundraising Team please download our fact sheets:
