“I feel like I’m doing something worthwhile with my spare time and, by involving my children where possible, it helps me to explain to them how fortunate they are to have a loving home and family.”
Lucy Hinchliffe, Hertfordshire
Our local fundraising groups are our voice in the community, raising vital funds and awareness, bringing their communities together to change children’s lives.
Our groups come in all shapes and sizes, from a couple of friends to large committees; groups that organise sponsored walks and quiz nights to fashion shows and dinner dances.
We have around 30 local fundraising groups across the UK and Ireland and are looking to grow this network dramatically over the next few years. Can you help?
From Edinburgh to East Devon we have groups across the country and they are always looking for new members. Check out our map to find out the nearest group to you.
If there's no existing group near you, then why not set up your own? It's fun and hugely rewarding and no experience is necessary.
We'll give you all the support and advice you need to get started. So why not organise a simple event that you know will work and see it grow from there? Imagine what a difference you can make with a small group of dedicated people!
”Hope and Homes for Children is such an effective and worthwhile charity, that it’s not at all difficult to ask people for money for such a great cause. There’s no need to start off too big – let things evolve as you add new members – many people will already have been involved in fundraising in the community for schools, the scouts etc, and will bring their own ideas and experience to the group.”
Lucy Hinchcliffe, Hertfordshire.
