“Our relationship with Hope and Homes for Children has gone from strength to strength. As a funder it has been a tremendously rewarding experience to be able to support such a transformational change in childcare services. Sofronie Foundation is delighted to be involved in such worthwhile work.”
Vivien Gunn, Sofronie Foundation
Grants from trusts and foundations, and major gifts from individuals are vital to our work. These gifts have a huge impact, giving thousands of children the chance to grow up as part of a caring family.
We pride ourselves on building long term partnerships with our donors. If you choose to support us we will provide a dedicated staff member to help you find the right project for your grant or gift, whatever your interests and objectives may be.
We want to show you the impact of your gift. We will do this in the way that suits you best, whether that is through regular reports or face to face meetings. It may also be possible for you to visit your project to see first hand how your gift is transforming children’s lives.
"We have been involved with Hope and Homes for Children for 10 years now and continue to be amazed by the success of the programmes and the wonderful people who make them work. We are kept informed of progress by emails of course, but particularly appreciate the personal contact - phone calls, informal get togethers as well as the great events Hope and Homes for Children organises."
Mark & Liz Gamble, major supporters
£1,000 could empower 2 vulnerable mothers in Ukraine to care for their newborn babies, by supporting them in one of our specialist Mother and Baby Units.
£5,000 could enable us to provide 6 months of vital community services such as day care, nutritious meals, and HIV/AIDS education at one of our Community Hubs in South Africa.
£12,000 could allow 20 children who are currently growing up in a damaging institution in Rwanda to be reunited with their parents or extended family.
£40,000 could lay the foundations for a better childcare system in Moldova by training 400 childcare professionals to support families at risk of abandoning their children.
£154,000 would enable us to build a Small Family Home in the heart of the community to provide specialist care for 8 children with severe special needs.
