Pushy Mums

Pushy Mums

Calling all Pushy Mums!

Mums pushing babies can help babies without mums by coordinating a short walk.

Raise awareness and funds for vulnerable children who are growing up without a mum or the love of a family. Keep fit and have fun at the same time!

How do I organise a Pushy Mums walk?

Step one - Choose a date that fits in with your friends and family. Ideally we would like walks to be in the week of Mothers Day (11-18 March) so that we can have the most impact.

Step two - Decide on a route for your walk.

Step three - Invite other mums, dads and families to walk with you.

Step four - Email us the details of your walk.

Step five - Complete walk.

Step six - Donate the funds you have raised.

Step seven - Thank everyone who took part, contact us for a ‘My Mum’s Pushy’ certificate and send in a photo of your walk.

It's a simple as that!

So are you a Pushy Mum or do you know a Pushy Mum who would like to take part or coordinate a walk? If the answer is yes then the following hints and tips will help to make your walk a real success.

Hints and tips

  • Pick a walk that is easily accessible to new mums.
  • Make sure your walk starts and finishes somewhere that offers all the facilities you will need on the day, e.g. toilets, refreshments, car parking.
  • Make it big or keep it small. If you are planning a public walk we can help with advice about health and safety.
  • Spread the word. Join Pushy Mums on Facebook to share ideas, post your event or just find a walk in your area.
  • Don’t forget to take photos of your walk

We’ll help you push!
