Night of Adventure is an exciting, sell-out event where an eclectic collection of first-class adventurers, from across the spectrum of explorers, daredevils and pioneers, come together to share their experiences with a live audience.
Each speaker is limited to just 20 slides to accompany their tales, shown on a huge cinema screen. The challenge is that each slide will automatically scroll forward after just 20 seconds. With this unusual and challenging presentation format, once the talks begin there is no stopping or going back, the audience must be ready to be swept from adventure to adventure!
Night of Adventure is the brain-child of adventurer and author Alastair Humphreys, who is a patron and passionate supporter of Hope and Homes for Children. Alastair describes the event as "a celebration of the spirit of adventure in all its guises."
The outstanding range of first-class speakers is just one reason why all previous events have sold out. Previous speakers include an adventure loving TV presenter, the youngest British woman to climb Everest, the first man to walk the length of the Amazon river and an adventurer who spent four years cycling the globe. Here are some audio slideshows from a recent Night of Adventure.
