Sprint Triathlon – our flagship event

Our flagship fundraising event is a sprint triathlon organised in conjunction with St. James’s Place Foundation. With over 200 entrants, the event is a perfect opportunity for staff, clients, partners and suppliers to get together and take part in a fun and challenging event while raising money that will transform lives.

This year the sprint triathlon will take place on Sunday 4th October 2009. Get more information and fill out an online entry form.

Employee Fundraising

Employee fundraising is an excellent way to increase staff morale and motivation and provides the perfect opportunity for team building and social events. Most importantly, it’s a chance to have fun while raising money!

We can provide all the support and publicity materials you need to make every fundraising event a success.

Challenge events

The children we work with face huge challenges every day. Why not challenge yourself and raise money for Hope and Homes for Children by taking part in a running event? We have secured over 50 places at a series of national and international running events including the Real Berlin Marathon in September, the BUPA Great North Run in October and the ING New York City Marathon in November.

If you chose to run for us, we will provide you with a Hope and Homes for Children running vest and a welcome pack. This pack contains essential training advice and top tips to help you reach your fundraising target. Find out more: Big Strides, Big Difference.

Alternatively, you may want to try your hand at something a little more challenging. So, we’ve teamed up with Charity Challenge who specialise in making your once in a lifetime adventure a reality.

Payroll giving

Payroll giving is the easiest way for your staff to make a regular donation to Hope and Homes for Children – and best of all it’s tax free. This means that a donation of £5 per month only costs the basic rate taxpayer £4 (the taxman pays the rest!).

Setting up and promoting payroll giving in your company is easy to do – we can help by arranging for someone from Hope and Homes for Children to speak to your employees about how their monthly support will make a difference to children’s lives.

Charity of the Year

By nominating Hope and Homes for Children as your Charity of the Year, you can unite your staff in support of a powerful cause.

We can help you make the most out of any fundraising activities, providing advice, support and promotional materials such as posters, t-shirts and leaflets. We can also help promote the partnership through local and national media generating positive publicity and strengthening your brand.

Cause Related Marketing – differentiate your brand

Today’s consumers are increasingly interested in supporting companies that are seen to support good causes. Would your company be interested in forming a partnership with Hope and Homes for Children to help market a product or service?

By supporting us during a product promotion, you will give your customers a powerful incentive to choose your product or service over your competitors.

“There is a very real ‘brand halo’ that comes from working with a dynamic and highly relevant charity like Hope and Homes for Children. By donating a % to charity we have seen a marked increase in sales via our website”

Paul Cunningham, Managing Director from ASPACE

Gift in Kind

‘Gifts in Kind’ frees up money that would otherwise have been spent on overheads or expenses. This allows us to spend more of our resources and time on what we do best - helping vulnerable children and families. Gifts in kind might include a conference room for the day or perhaps food or drink for a fundraising event.

Volunteering

We may be able to offer staff the opportunity to use their skills and experience to make a valuable, long-term contribution to the work of the Hope and Homes for Children through skill based volunteering. Get in touch today and find out how you could help us develop as an organisation.

Hospitality events

Through our patrons and supporters, we have access to prestigious venues like The House of Lords and Marlborough House where we hold a number of hospitality dinners and receptions for our major supporters and corporate partners.
